Customer Equipment

Using Your Own Router

You may use your own Wi-Fi router or networking equipment with Northwest Ohio Broadband, but there are important support and compatibility differences to understand.

Your Choice

Can I use my own router?

Yes. You may use your own Wi-Fi router or networking equipment.
However, we highly recommend using Northwest Ohio Broadband-provided
equipment, which is included with service.

When you choose customer-owned networking equipment, Northwest Ohio
Broadband’s technical-support responsibility ends at our outdoor antenna
and service connection.

Because we cannot remotely manage or see inside customer-owned equipment,
we cannot troubleshoot, test, configure or verify devices beyond that point.
Additional troubleshooting fees may apply.
