We can't force you to use our equipment, but we highly recommend it (and its included with service).
When you use your own WIFI router or networking equipment, we no longer offer any tech support, beyond our outdoor antenna, period. We can not see into the network and troubleshoot, test or verify anything beyond your router or LAN. Additional Troubleshooting fees also apply.

We do not provide support for customer-owned networking equipment. Since this router is not provided by Northwest Ohio Broadband, any troubleshooting or warranty support must be handled by the manufacturer or retailer that sold it to you. Please contact the router’s manufacturer or point of purchase for assistance.
We only provide technical support for routers and equipment supplied by Northwest Ohio Broadband.
Sure. Advanced tech support is available. On-site programming is $299+.
All we do is program it. No support of any kind will be offered after.
We've tested over 100 models of routers and have determined the models that we use to be stable, and effective. There are many, many makes and models. Most consumer models found in stores are not high quality, despite what the 20 year old in the electronics department claims. There's also tons of paid online reviews for high end routers, that deceive buyers. We're kinda experts in what we do, unlike the kid on YouTube who claims "This h@ck will double your Internet speed for FREEEE!!!!". (Lolz.)
Router Compatibility Notice
Netgear routers are not supported on our network due to ongoing firmware stability issues. These devices are known to cause problems such as severe slowdowns, dropped connections, and in some cases complete router failure (“bricking”), which often requires a full factory reset to restore service.
To ensure the best performance and reliability, we only support the following routers:
Approved Routers
TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 (AX) routers, including:
AX1500
AX1800
AX3000
Any TP-Link Mesh system
Using an approved router helps prevent connection problems and ensures full compatibility with Northwest Ohio Broadband’s network.
